Hello. My name is Patrick Reid, and I am not going to pretend that someone else wrote my bio. To begin with, I am awesome. I could stop there, but, I think you want more. I am an actor, writer and comedian. Being an actor has been my dream since I was the lead in my first play at eleven years old. I was disappointed that I got the girl and didn’t get to kill the bad guy. In hindsight, it worked out perfectly.
My absolute favorite thing in the world is performing improv and sketch comedy. I am currently in the final stages of Second City’s conservatory program developing a Sketch comedy show for their main stage.
I am a Stand Up Comedian. I have performed on the main stages of The Comedy Store, The Ice House, and Flappers, to name just a few. I make people laugh, and I wear a bow tie, because bowties are cool.
I also take on the more serious roles. I recently did Shakespeare, well, performed... in The Tempest and attempted regicide on the King. I failed miserably. But that’s only because the Bard wrote it that way. Otherwise that king would be dead! There is something thrilling about performing the classics and having that timeless genius become a part of your soul.
I am currently writing a short dramedy that I hope to produce later this year and I am always writing stand up and sketch comedy. I am really excited about this year and what is in store.
